Huthmaker Violins is the oldest violin shop in the South. We are family-owned and operated and specialize in all things violin, viola, 'cello and string bass. The Huthmaker Family, (Roland, Dixie and Anna), spent their lives teaching orchestra, playing professionally, and restoring instruments and bows. The love of this family for their work is contagious and the house is full of history. I went there looking for a viola and came out with a smile and a great experience
Highly recommended by our School Director, so we went ahead and took the rent to own plunge with a viola . Recently went for the instrument to be serviced/maintained, they adjusted, waxed, repaired and taped it back up for the school year. If you are seeking a better (than an online) instrument, I would definitely give them a chance. Their team is super nice, it’s like family.
Johnathan's customer service is top-notch. He clearly serves with a passion for what he does, and it made the entire experience a delight. Highly recommend!
