Returning for another superb week at Hurstone with friends. I was struck this time by how uplifting and versatile the interior of the house is - there are two large serene sitting rooms, and a snooker room off the dining room which makes for a lively and fun social space. Another wonderful week at Hurstone House, so lovely to be back and everything just as good as we’d all remembered. Trips to Porlock Weir and Dunkery Beacon are highly recommended. An ideal spot and great house for both adventure and relaxation, thanks to Chrys for being as welcoming and helpful as ever.
Such a wonderful week spent here with friends. The house is beautiful, inside and out, where every possible need or comfort is provided, including a hot tub. The views, especially from the bedrooms, are breathtaking. For me, the house martens circling to their nests were a joy, as was the magnificent mulberry tree, laden with berries. Hurstone House is a wonderful place to stay for a group of friends or for a family celebration. The house is so beautifully decorated and well-cared for and the rooms are all so spacious and comfortable with terrific views across the valley. Chrys, the owner, is living nearby and is welcoming and helpful and showed us showed us where we could walk around the lanes, woods and fields.
