We camped at rivers edge camping on the weekend (35 mins from Huonville). Our 5yo son had a puncture on his bike. We googled bike shops in Huonville (at 2pm on a Saturday long weekend) with slim hopes, to our pleasant surprise we came across Huon bikes and had the pleasure of dealing with Damien who checked what he had and came through with the goods. My friend and I were passing through the Huon Valley area doing the Tasmanian Trail when we had a bad slash on a tyre which threatened our bikepacking adventures. A quick call to Damien and he sorted us out a great tyre and tubes to go along with it. Damien was super flexible with his time and energy and got us rolling again in no time. Highly recommend this shop and his services for any bicycle related issues or requests. Great bloke too!
Was stuck a town over from Huonville with a slashed tyre on the Tasmanian train and Damien left a tube and tyre out for me to pick up so I could continue my journey, even though he wasn’t home! He was lovely to chat to on the phone and saved the trip! Huon bikes for the win.
