Unfortunately, this branch has a serious communication problem. My husband made an appointment several weeks ago to set up a savings account for our baby. At that time, we were explicitly told that both parents needed to be present and that the account could not be opened without both of us there. TCF is now Huntington, I needed a voided blank check for direct deposit. The line was short but still waited like 15 minutes. The banker didn't have any answers to my simple questions, was short to answer like I was an inconvenience. They don't provide blank checks with our names on them like most other banks do until the new ones come in the mail. TCF had bad reviews, and I liked them, we have been members for over 25 yrs. I may be closing my accounts and looking elsewhere to do my businesses

Worst banking experience ever. My parents get a monthly check from disability that the bank neglected to deposit. It was apparently left in the mailbox that they don’t check regularly. Also, they froze my parents whole account because of the Hold time on a large check deposit. My parents rely on this single Huntington checking account to live on, and their whole account was frozen. I’ve spoken to the people at the bank and to customer service and they are all terrible.. I’ll be moving them to Wells Fargo ASAP.
