Ya gotta be kidding me... I got a check from the salvage yard for some scrap and it is drawn on Huntington Bank. I went to cash at Hancock MI branch and they want to charge me 10 bucks to cash a <400 check as I don't have an account there. I can see if I didn't have an account aaaannnddd the check was drawn from elsewhere. But wait... if I DID have an account there, that would mean that everyone I wanted to write a check to would get charged, unless they also had an account there. I left Flagstar for Huntington, because my wife assured me they have always been great. Never before have I had such a terrible experience with a bank. I became a member during a promotional period, where at the end of 3 months I would get money back. More than 5 months later, I have yet to see that money. The past two months have been a constant run around, with this branch actively screening my calls. It's used to be a good bank but the ATM is always down and they're not open on Saturday and they close at 5 so what is that option leave me to deposit money. I'm done with this bank I've had it. They aren't for the customer anymore unfortunately.
It is truly a blessed place for there to be a double rainbow above it. Points docked for a prior experience, though.
