Do not use Margaret Hunter to file your taxes! It was the worst experience we have ever had filing taxes. My husband and I turned in all the required documents to Margaret Hunter at the first appointment. She kept all our documents for 6 weeks without reviewing anything. When we called to follow up several times we were advised that our tax package had still not been reviewed. We have a split state return for NY and NC and a joint federal return. I moved to the area approximately 3 yrs ago, was setting up a new business and looking for a new CPA. I found Margaret on the web, emailed her and asked if she would help me set up a corporation. I done the required documents with the State per Margaret's guidance and she helped me with everything else needed for the corp. She has guided me in the right direction since the first meeting. Any financial questions that I have had since meeting Margaret, the answer has been an email or call away.

Margaret has no respect for her clients. I was talked down to by Margaret and her secretary Mary Ann and they were very rude in handling matters. I went in November to establish a relationship turned in all my paper work to her in February and got a call in March that I needed to file an extension and owed $200.00 Which was a mistake on their part because of them not following through on the information I gave them. I am a college student who called looking for assistance amending a tax form. The receptionist, Mary Ann, informed me that I should call H&R Block, or simply 'Google my question.' I informed her that I'd called H&R Block and they were unhelpful, and that I was looking for a local outlet with better customer service. She wasn't interested in helping me.
