My kids have been going to hummingbird for several years. They LOVE it. Truly magical place with wonderful staff and teachers. During week 4 this summer, a wildfire broke out in Jemez a couple of miles from camp. The hummingbird staff was very communicative and did a great job keeping my kids safe and secure during a potentially dangerous situation. My kids can’t wait to go back next summer!
The road was closed due to fire and the camp didnt notify us. i called the camp to let them know.I would be 2 and a 1/2 hours late.They said they would notify my child, they did not. they also did not let her call me when she asked, she was left alone outside crying. this is actually ridiculous. I Would never send my child here again. I would not recommend it.
I was very late to pick up my daughter because I was 10 minutes away and got turned away by cops due to road closures for the fire. I then had to turn around and drive 2.5 hours to get her through Bernalillo. I never got a text or email from the camp. I called the camp to let them know to give her my message that I would be late. They never delivered the message to her, instead she was left alone, crying. She also asked the staff if she could call us, they told her no. This camp is actually trash.
