Went today in the early morning to the bike shop for check my free hub that is not running smooth. After i explained that a 10mm allen key would not work to take off the free hub the guy offered to give a check and see what he could do, and here come the bad. The guy got the wheel at the back and without getting asked any permission he pulled out the dustcup that got then damaged from it. The person after got back gave me back the wheel and said that he putted some oil and that now was "better" , better? i wanted to be fixed... read more

Warning, be very careful to get a written quote before they start the work. They gave a verbal quote to do a simple repair on my son's bike and then when the job was done asked well over the original quoted price. My son paid, but was unhappy about it. I called them to sort it out, but they were unhelpful, said it was our problem, and wouldn't take any responsibility. We compared a few more prices and found that Human Powered Cycles charged 38% more for the same repair than the bike shop up the road.

Had a good experience here, bike was fixed quickly, price was good, and nobody tried to upsell me things I didn't want, which was a nice change from other bike shops.
