UPDATE #2: JANUARY 2026 In December, I had HVCU issue a check to Fidelity so the funds could be transferred to an inherited IRA in my name. Today, 1/20/26, I received a 1099-R from HVCU with a gross distribution (box 1) and taxable amount (box 2) for the full IRA amount. Finally met Curly.
