Hi! I was skeptical of what my experience would be like being a first time customer but was pleasantly surprised. A representative at the Newburgh branch named Bryan C. was especially knowledgeable and kind. With the upmost respect and professionalism he assisted me an open a checking and savings account. He also patiently guided me through the credit card application process and courteously answered all my follow up questions. Would recommend doing business at HVCU to others. Staff is friendly and very helpful Wait times can be extensive at times even for minor services like Notary.
We are not clients of this bank. However we wrote a personal check to one of their clients. Our bank is in Virginia. Their client deposited our check. Instead of calling our bank to verify funds, or telling their client the check funds may not be available until it actually clears, they sent their client an email saying, “We are delaying the availability of $5,479.50 from the deposit you made into your Checking account on 05/04/2026.
