I was the victim of a wire transfer fraud. The teller who helped me did not follow typical protocol for a wire transfer. Instead of sending a small amount and verifying it went to the correct recipient, he sent my whole $57,000 in one shot to a fraudster. Of course I had no idea of the dangers of wire fraud and I was relying on the banks, as well as my lawyers guidance and expertise.
