Worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m sure you’ve already read that they tack on additional insurance fees. I was desperate and it was still affordable. Big mistake. Left some sand on the floorboards (everything else was pristine) and they charged my card an additional 150 for damages. Refuting with my credit card currently. These guys are scammers of the worst kind.
I would rate 0 stars if I could. This place had hidden fees. They were dishonest and the check in check out process was a nightmare. The first car they gave us had a broken seatbelt. The second vehicle was given to us dirty and upon returning they charged $150 fee for “sand in the interior.” We did not take this vehicle to the beach and it was given to us dirty!
This is the biggest scam! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE GUYS! They advertise low rental prices to only deny the price at the desk and force their insurance which is insanely expensive! We waited in the lobby and watched them tell the same thing to every single customer “the insurance they purchased doesn’t fit their policy “. Listen to the negative reviews and spare yourself. This place is a scam and a con. I am attaching a picture of the insurance they require each customer have, which is only disclosed at booking, once you are stranded away from the airport with a shuttle that takes 45 minutes to get there. Allegedly, this insurance must be booked 3 months in advance. HOWEVER, the gentleman in line next to me actually had this perfect car insurance and they still charged him a waiver fee of $149. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Routes and every company associated in this location are disingenuous liars! I had a rental with Routes and spoke to Jay once the shuttle finally arrived at their location on Cypress. *They aren't located at the airport rental center*.
