I had a disappointing experience with the HUB Center for Seniors in Belfair, mostly due to how rigid and unwelcoming the donation process was. I came by during posted open hours specifically to donate usable items, assuming that if the center was open, donations would be accepted. Instead, I was told they couldn’t take anything because it “wasn’t donation day.” That policy might make sense internally, but from a community perspective, it comes across as unnecessarily inflexible and poorly communicated.
