I paid a lot of money for an attorney appearance. Not only was the hearing simply continued (ie attorney didn't do a good job), their attorney can't even reply to emails to tell me exactly what happened. He then asked me for $400 to write a simple one page declaration and another $800 for a motion. These rates are ridiculous considering this is a simple eviction in Barstow, California.
