Filling my taxes, here I have a dependent that does not live with me. I give child support over 80% The tax expert says if the child is not in canada I can not declare. My is whether living in canada means I should abandon my parental responsibility. This most outrageous call I had today. Tax expert drops the call because of gaps identified. I called last week and setup an appointment, no confirmation email like they said they would send me so I called today to confirm the time and nobody had actually made an appointment for me. Absolutely ridiculous

These people are the epitome of incompetence. Two years ago, after insisting they had all the information they needed on their computer, they screwed up on my taxes, then didn't catch the error for another three months, and are still trying to come after me as if the mistake was mine. When I tried to resolve this with them in person last year, they told me they wouldn't take an appointment because I wasn't hiring them again. Why would I? Seriously, go somewhere else. I recently visited the HRBlock office for a scheduled appointment with a tax preparer Ann. Unfortunately, my experience was so far from satisfactory. From the outset, the atmosphere in the office was tense and unwelcoming. While reviewing my documents, Ann interrupted our conversation for multiple times. She commented at another worker, breaking our flow and making things uncomfortable.
