My 2024 taxes found I was the victim of fraud.after several exasperating attempts to find basic assistance from IRS by phone and local office visits. Michael painter at HR Block in the Merchants village shopping center resolved very problematic issues with the “ Ben Affleck” type approach to Forensic numbers.
0 stars. Do not waste your time with this location or business as a whole - money down the drain. Paid $350 for the services (ouch) then they did the taxes incorrectly and left forms off that I provided electronically. Taxes had to be amended and I owed $30 more for them to fix it. They have 0 guarantee and when you bring up their “guarantee policy”, they said it was on me for not buying a peace of mind package? What? 0 stars. Horrible most unprofessional experience over ever had. When I went in for my appointment I had made a week earlier with John Howe. I was told he was double booked for the slot. No problem It’s the busy season I understand. Then as I waited two other of his customers came in and said that that they needed to see him right away. Because they couldn’t get him to return there phone calls or emails. So after he finished my appointment time. They proceed to take the two walk ins. My tax preparer--Mr. Jim Fouche--could not have done a more outstanding job! With his expertise and innate kindness, he made a usually unpleasant chore for me a satisfying experience. I am surprised to say I actually look forward to tax season next year because, with Mr. Fouche helping me, preparing my taxes will be a snap!
Had a feeling the 4.5 stars were fishy but when you click all you see is 1 star reviews. This has been the worst tax experience of my life. AVOID just do turbo tax.
