H&R Block did my taxes incorrectly and I was then billed by the IRS for thousands of dollars in back taxes plus interest and penalties. The error was confirmed to be H&R block's fault by a third party accountant. H&R Block admitted fault and told me they'd cover the penalties and interest as per their "peace of mind" policy, however they only covered the amount in part and have been refusing to tell me why or help me recover the rest of the money I had to pay the IRS because H&R Block did my taxes incorrectly.
Filed my taxes here the last two years. Im not an expert when it comes to this kind of thing, so I didn't know what I should be paying, I just assumed I was getting a good deal. My last experience exposed just how big of a rip off this place is. I went in to get my Federal, State and Local done. Signed everything, agreed to the price they gave me, and went on with my life.
