This was by far the worst tax experience I had ever had. This was my first time getting my taxes done somewhere in person. I was feeling very overwhelmed with what documents were needed to ensure I was able to get everything done in a timely manner. Just like some of the other reviews I’ve also experienced being blindsided months later with a bill from the state for not accurately reporting my income. This month I received another notice that I never filed local taxes either.
Lori was very easy to work with and was patient and helpful.
Every year, H&R Block advertises easy drop-off, but it’s anything but. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, have a MyBlock account, and tell them nothing has changed. Yet, every time, it’s a hassle. Whether I sit there while they slowly input my info or try drop-off—where I still have to fill out a packet with everything they should already have—they never pull up my previous returns. If I could leave negative stars I would. The place is a joke, incompetent manager and staff, the "piece of mind" they sell is a useless way to take more of your money...they do not help and are rude. They lost long time customers and our family.
