HR Block is the Spirit Airlines of taxes, if you choose to go this route you might get to where you need to go, but it's going to be frustrating & you're going to regret it the whole time. Very unprofessional & seemingly incompetent- recommend people go elsewhere. Firstly, my taxes were filed incorrectly by the agent that I worked with. I relayed to the staff my direct needs in a phone call in the days leading up to my appointment as to schedule the proper time. Upon arrival I was asked to return a week later, citing that they “didn’t know how much I had” and that they could not complete the work within the time given (that they had scheduled me for). If I could give negative stars I would. After being a client for well over a decade, a Tax Professional entered the wrong last four digits of my SSN. She actually entered the last four digits of my phone number. I paid for the "Peace of Mind", but they did NOT lift a finger to rectify the situation. I did all the legwork, I'm the one who found the mistake, I'm the one who spent countless hours on the phone with the IRS etc. It took almost a year for me to finally see my money. Do not go here. Over charging for really nothing. They are very lost and unprofessional. $243 for a simple return, ridiculous. Has taken 3× longer to get my money than someone who filed with turbo tax 2 weeks after me. Dont waste your money. Oh and I called, she couldn't help me at all, I said "so moral of the story is don't use h&r block anymore?" She said "no, moral of the story is don't file taxes." What? They'll probably be obsolete soon anyway.
