Do NOT do your taxes here or at minimum avoid Vanessa she clearly doesn't know what she is doing. My fiancée was told that she owes 4500, then oh wait no you 1000, then the next day oh wait it's actually 4000, later that night oh no wait 1000. We pay the irs only to get told no wait it was actually 4000. And after the roller-coaster we get a letter that we still owe and we're charged a penalty for not paying the full amount. You are better off going somewhere else because they don't know what they are doing
I have always done my own taxes without any problems using Taxact. This year I went to H&R Block. I thought everything was done correctly and then I received a letter from the IRS stating I owe them $282.50 for failure to pay proper estimated tax penalty. I already dished out over $7,000 and also paid the H&R fee. Why bother using them. Waste of my time and money. Never again.
My husband and I went because I was told my tax professional had 10+ years of experience with small businesses and military. I have never been more terrified to trust someone in my life. Our tax pro did not know our documents were in their portal, did not know if they had excel on their computer to open a spreadsheet, and kept missing forms to the point I had my app open and was reading the forms aloud to them to double check.
