Make sure the person doing your taxes is an EA, a CPA, or has completed the IRS AFTR program for non credentialed prepares. And never pay more than $200 for a tax return that isn't complicated. TurboTax will file simple returns for you for free $0 and and returns with investment income like stocks cost about $300. You can go anywhere to get your taxes done but whoever you choose check credentials and don't let them charge you $600-$300 because you're getting a big refund and won't notice. friendly and knowledgeable help. got right in the same day I called. Way to expensive. Did not go back the next year and found a place $200.00 cheaper.
