I had to file one federal and state tax return and claim a dependent on this year’s tax return. Per the H&R Block website I should’ve paid around $150. They did my taxes, which took them about 20 minutes, and ended up charging me $300 for tax prep. There was no line item receipt showing why I paid double what was advertised. When I complained all the manager could tell me is that claiming a dependent is another form. They never gave me a break down of what was charged when I asked for it. Very deceptive and dishonest.
