The service can be a little pricey, but for a complicated tax return it's worth it. Have always been satisfied with the service H&R has provided.
I use HR block every year and feel comfortable with the service provided.
Working with Sharon Brown is the best experience. She made filling super easy and we felt informed the whole way through the process.
My experience with HR Block was such a negative one. I originally called the Pentagon branch, mistakenly thinking it was Pentagon City area not in the Pentagon. That mistake is fully on me. Not worth it. Taxes are complicated. I pay their fee to navigate this with an expert. While they were able to file my taxes on my behalf, I have many questions planning taxes ahead and I don't receive clear answers. Their advisors work part-time and will respond when they are done with their day jobs. In some cases you need a faster response but you don't get it which results in delayed communication and meetings. This is not desirable.
