Charged me $700 and filed me as a small business instead of W2 then had the audacity to say “I hope you learned something.” Yeah I learned not to come back.
What an unfortunate experience. $600 to file basic taxes (3 total forms, 2 W2s and 1 business form), and they couldn't provide any basic assistance. I asked 2 simple tax questions regarding small business ownership - how much of a company is required to be owned in order to leverage accumulated losses, and how filing married but separately would effect it. $700 for an hour of work where I didn’t gain any knowledge was insane. Always ask for the price first. Might as well do it myself next year.
