Filed my taxes incorrectly, resulting in me owing several thousands of dollars to the CRA. Did not do anything to help me. The employees laughed at me, and the manager said they would fix the situation and did nothing. Do not let these people do anything with your finances. Do not trust these people. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Update: I when into H&R Block and told them that I was not paying $242.00 for a simple final tax return. They try to give me a discount of $40.00. Wow...how generous of them. I told them I still am not paying that amount. I asked for all my original documents back and walk out. I will never use their services. As the executor of my friend, I need to do her final tax return. Which was a simple return because she had no property or assets. So I drop off all the paper work to H&R Block and waited for them to call me. A week later I called them and the return was not even started yet. Later the same day I received a call informing me the return was finish and the fee for doing the return was $242.00. I have never in my life paid that much to have my taxes done.
Fast, efficient and flexible, and they did a great job reducing what my dad had to pay. Price was totally reasonable!
I've been a long-time client of this company, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. I submitted my documents for the online tax service on March 3rd and have yet to receive any follow-up. Despite multiple attempts to reach out and even requesting that my case be reassigned to someone who will respond, I’ve had zero communication in return.
