Been going to H R for about 4 yrs now. Left Liberty tax because they wanted to charge us almost $700 to do our taxes. We have simply taxes. We started going to H R they were charging us around $350 to do the same. Went back this yr to do the same taxes. Now there charging me almost $600 Plus a $42 transfer fee of money. Just for 30 mins of filing and a few smile. These companies love taking a hard working couples money living pay check to pay check.
Don’t bother scheduling online. Someone was already scheduled at that time slot so we traveled 25 min to do our taxes only to have to turn around. The receptionist was very nice and apologetic but you shouldn’t give an online scheduling option if it DOESNT WORK!
Me and my wife were married in 2022 and as both individuals who previously filed our taxes on our own via TurboTax or other similar online formats we thought given just having moved from out of state, gotten married, and had our first child that it would be best to have our taxes filed by a “professional”. We moved from MD to NC in January but our taxes were misfiled with all of our yearly income from NC filed to MD and then also to NC causing us to be liable for a large amount of back taxes in a state we didn’t live or work... read more
