Very helpful in getting the documents I needed but 3.5 months with repeated failed promises and absolutely nonexistent communication.
Had very bad experience when we filed taxes for the very first time in the US. Spent close to 260$ but the filing was done with a big blunder. They were not able to rectify and asked us to reach out to Block advisors which was a sister consultancy and they filed an amended return stating that the initial filing had an error. I ended up losing a considerable amount because the amended return was done after the deadline. Reached out several times asking for compensation both to the franchise and customer care with no response.
Go with other consultants the Franchise Manager does not have any empathy or does not take ownership for the mistakes. She does not know about exceptional cases and has zero knowledge about them. Better to go with other tax consultants rather than HR block especially this branch 2580 Walton Blvd.
First time ever filing my taxes through someone. I normally do it on my own. I of course waited until last minute and I know how chaotic tax season can be especially at the end of tax season. Bonnie Boyer helped me with mine. I was missing some information that needed to be corrected and I wasn't able to get that info until yesterday morning. I am giving 2 stars not because of the person who did my taxes, but because of the fee. $155 to prep when I bring in 3 documents and took less than 10 minutes to prepare. Understanding that it is a flat rate, but it is price gouging at its finest. Sharon did an excellent job. HR Block corporate rates are the problem.
