Used H&R Block, Taneytown tax year 2024. Called on Friday, April 12th. When I called the office they said they could get me in Sunday April 14th in the morning. I dropped my paperwork off and they told me they would file them but would have to file an extension. I didn't think anything of it simply because I didn't know any better. Didn't hear anything back from H&R Block until October! At which point they told me I owed taxes. And that there was a problem with my dependent's SS#. At this point, it has been a full year that I have not received my tax return due to the severe mistakes from the tax preparer at this location. Because the tax preparer was more interested in treating us like an assembly line, instead of people, she ignored the 3 times I brought up that I bought an EV and asked what information she needed for that credit. Lack of transparency and follow through. Was told that taxes were being filed from the main office but receiving emails from H&R Block saying they weren't. Taxes were dropped off March 17th and filed on April 14th after receiving misinformation on the status. I would not recommend using this office.
