I’m giving 1 star due to my taxes being completed. I will not return to any H&R Block ever, based on this experience alone. I have never paid so much to anyone to do my taxes. I was discouraged by Theodore to submit my deductions due to “it won’t make a difference”. I’m not exactly sure how they benefit from this but it seemed unfair.
Eugene Stein was great! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. I'm going back this year.
H&r block does a professional job, but the price has become simply outrageous! Not sure what I'll do for taxes next year but it definitely won't be with h&r block. I spent $500 for 40 minutes at their office and a fairly simple return. Never again.
I really wish I could say I had a positive experience here. The reviews looked promising. Sadly, my experience was far from pleasant and professional. I do not recommend working with tax advisor Jonathan Cotton. He was rude, and unprofessional. While I was asking him to re-explain something, he snapped at me and said “Can you just sign???? I’ll answer your question after you sign.” After demanding I sign the paperwork his reason for said demand was that he would get “stuck on the screen he was on” if I didn’t sign.
