I’ve never used H&R Block before to do my taxes but figured I would this time. NEVER AGAIN. At first I went in, met with a man named John, and he went through my taxes with me. Filed. I thought everything was fine. Then I get a letter from the IRS that they needed the 1095a for health insurance. John never told me this. I went there today for a 2pm appointment and as usual they are running late, after ten minutes of waiting the woman Joyce comes out to me and asked me if I wanted to leave my paperwork with her, I said to her, if I was going to do that then I wouldn't of made a appointment. She then said that she would be ten more minutes. While I was sitting there waiting I made a appointment with another tax preparation company. Do not go to this location! They messed up my taxes from a previous year and I am still waiting for them to resolve the issue. Still waiting for them to refund me even if I have the insurance to cover any mistakes on their end. I went to them because they’re supposed to be the experts, what a joke.
AVOID! In 2025 we are still having issues and being accessed fines from the 2022 filing. While in person the issues could be seen clearly in their system, but they "needed to have a manager to resolve". When the phone calls were received from the "manager" they were confrontational, denied what I had seen with my own eyes a day prior, and unwilling to honor their guarantees or correct the situation. Glad we went elsewhere as the other reviews seem to have similar issues, AVOID!
