Very disappointed with how my return went this year. HR block does not care about their customers. They just want to get you in and out quickly. Very rude aswell.
Would not recommend filing something as important as your taxes here. The front staff are confused and don’t listen when you ask questions and same with the “tax experts”. I went in to file corporate taxes and asked at the front if the appointment was for corporate upon seeing the initial form. They said yes. When I sat down with the “tax expert” to explain the scenario I was filing for she refused to listen and wanted to just start a profile before understanding if she could help me. Worst option to file taxes here! We came from US and we wanted to file taxes for US and Canada but they said that we had to leave our files in the office. Then they said they would call us back within few days. It's been more a month since we visited the office. We have called them back and they said the person would come after 5 PM.. sometimes we forgot to call because we also had things to do. We called and same thing happened. [Edit] Updated stars for completed return. New review: HR Block has very good accountants. In my personal opinion, H&R Block the company seems to need to update its apparently outdated client communications and calendar software. The future of tax reporting is intuitive and digital - look at Estonia’s example. I think HR Block would benefit from greater innovation in this area instead of a digital version of paper tax forms.
Friendly people and accountants, but delays, delays, more delays and no communication, possibly overworked staff, putting my comparatively simple filing at risk of penalties.
