I would NEVER recommend H&R Block based on my experience. 1. Significant refund error due to poor tax guidance. I was told my 2024 refund was only $353, but it should have been $2,790 — a $2,437 difference. The tax professional simply entered my information without offering meaningful guidance or identifying eligible benefits. I later discovered I qualified for rental-related depreciation and the Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit—both of which were even identified by a basic free online tool. I decided to use a tax professional at H&R Block this year because my taxes have recently become more complicated. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. I met with Noah Lin hoping he would guide us in the right direction and help us maximize our return. However, he was not very personable and seemed overworked and stressed.
