Horrible, absolutely horrible. A Tax Pro by the name of Laida Watkins Westbrook filed my taxes without notifying me. I uploaded my W-2 ahead of our appointment because I had questions regarding them. 2 hours before the appointment I get a notification that says my taxes are done and too pay 300 dollars to have them filed. She missed filed my taxes, even though I gave her a heads up on what needed to be done, her boss took no accountability for her employee's actions and its been over a month, still haven't received my income... read more

Today I had the pleasure to work with Jade! Jade was very helpful, informative, and friendly! She gave me good advice and was very efficient in sorting out all my W-2’s. Jade is great at what she does and tells you step by step what she is doing and why. Jade also gave me information on my new small business. Jade is the best! I recommend working with Jade I recommend my mom to Jade!
My “Tax Expert” was terrible. Despite being “the manager,” she clearly didn’t know what she was doing. I had to correct her multiple times on my tax forms and calculations. Essentially, I did my own taxes while she simply entered the information online. She initially had me paying state taxes for Illinois, even though I didn’t live there for the entire year. A horrible experience from a horrible person inside and definitely out. Ixchell Johnson at the H&R Block on 1103 S. State St. had such a bad attitude with me that she didn't want to explain to me why my federal taxes was the way it was. In which another tax specialist (Laida Watkins Westbrook) who was nice, had to step in to help. I've been filing my taxes here since 2019 with no problems but this year will be my last.
