I was told how much the price would be, and then gave them my coupon code and a referral code and yet it was still the same price even after both of those "discounts". The guy that actually prepared my taxes was gone each time I tried to call or get a straight answer about my taxes, and this was the first time I'd had to owe ever and really nothing was explained. Not only is this place a giant disappointment, it's a giant waste of money as well... I definitely will not be returning here next time.
Would give 0 if possible. Lady is kind but this place is a scam. I called not once but twice to ask what the price would be before my appointment. I was told 89$ at first but I had a student education form as well so I asked again and then it changed to 160$ I was fine with that amount so I went in. I asked up front once again before we started how much it was going to be and it changed from 160$ to 300$ this is ridiculous for a simple return I have no dependents or anything. I’m giving two stars because I did have some people remedy my situation and they were very kind. My review is mainly about a specific tax rep and not h and r block as a whole. Stay away from jim b!!! I haven’t don’t my taxes in 2 years (obviously my bad) and brought in all my w2s asking if they could do both years and they said sure. I’ve never owed money in my life and was sure I wouldn’t this time. Jim combined all my w2s from 2022 to 2023 and filed them without my consent. He also forged my signature on a bunch of documen... read more
