The absolute worst weekend employees and daily lies and excuses. Avoid at all costs unless you like hearing your information out loud with other people there. Don't go here, try something different, I just dealt with more lies in 48 hours last week than this year combined. Only put 1 🌟 star so I was able to post my worst week in years I forgot to thank them for the panic attacks and anxiety.
I found this place very helpful and I go here every year. Everything is always taken care of for me, and I feel totally comfortable asking any questions I have. Everything's explained to me in a way that makes sense, and I know that my taxes were done correctly, leaving me with no worries about how they were filed. I really do feel like I'm in good hands. The best experience ever (doing taxes)! I had the pleasure of working with Robin to do my last 2 years of taxes at once. She was thorough and I’m confident she got me the best return possible. I am so happy with my experience and will return to her every year now!
Twenty minutes into my appointment, an employee here came into our cubicle, fanned out someone’s else’s personal documents including their driver’s license, and read their SIN number out loud to me…I had to stop them in the middle of their conversation and ask them, is this actually happening right now? I had all of this person’s personal information. Absolutely unacceptable from a confidentiality standpoint. H&R Block claims to be a top company for tax filing, but my experience was far from smooth. The accountant made a mistake in our tax return, which we noticed and immediately called them about. They assured us everything would be reviewed, and later they called back to say everything was fine. However, yesterday we received a letter from the CRA informing us of an error in our return—the same mistake I had pointed out! And we paid $366 for this "service"!
