First year owning a business so went to H&R to get it done. Had all my receipts and had everything summarized on a print out. Made it super easy for the tax professional, still was charged full price. Thats fine. Did the taxes, after some back and forth, was reassured that was all I had to do. After submitting I thought I was done... oh no. Got a email from CRA reminding me to submit for GST. Emailed and waited close to 2 weeks for a reply. Cathy T is an all star - I have been taking my taxes to her for years. Last year I thought I would do my taxes on my own again (how hard is it, right?), and when the software showed that I would OWE money, I knew that was wrong. I brought my taxes to Cathy instead and she got me a significant refund. I learned my lesson and will never stray from Cathy again. Please don't ever retire! :P
