Joan Dunik does NOT know what's she's doing and she's a "senior tax specialist". COMPLETE BS. When I asked her if she was able to deduct my gas miles related to military service, instead of saying "I don't know but I'll look into it", she flat out said no. Then she charged me a fee of over $500 for FIVE MINUTES OF KEYBOARD TYPING. I complained to hrblock corporate and they said they'd "rectify" the situation. So Joan emailed and called to apologize but the deed was done because she screwed up. DO NOT GO TO MAYWOOD HRBLOCK
Paid $420 dollars just to be informed I owe the IRS money. And the agent handling my taxes couldn't claim my gas receipts for military travel but they were able to claim my miles driven for a side hustle. Do NOT give your money to these large tax refund corporations. Go support a local mom and pop account's office. NEVER AGAIN
