Horrible experience. Darlene treated us horribly, was condescending and not willing to help. We were told over the phone we did not need to bring anything to the appointment as we were trying to amend our taxes that were done a few weeks ago at H&R Block. Darlene said “don’t take this the wrong way, but we n’y going to do this like 17 year olds.” (Keep in mind we are both almost 30 year olds, well into our careers). I've been filing my taxes here for three consecutive years, and every time there's been an appointment error. Last year, even after I repeatedly emphasized the issue, they still filed my taxes incorrectly. This year, I scheduled my appointment three weeks ago. When I saw an earlier time slot available, I changed my appointment and received confirmation of the new booking. Had a question about terminology on their app and before I could even finished my sentence to describe my question I get cut off and told to contact my whoever through the app..come to find out when you let people finish their sentence you get different outcome. H and R block needs to get more respectful period or I will advocate negative publicity for the company and whatever branch is the issue. We thought they were the best, until they kept making costly mistakes! The first mistake was found two years after the taxes were filed and cost us $500 to the IRS. The second mistake was found three years later and is now costing us $2800. And no one has an explanation, or has anything to say other than I’m sorry.
