First, my tax pro was not even there when I arrived 15 minutes early for a scheduled appointment. Then, he finally walks in 3 minutes after my SCHEDULED appointment time. As I have had tax issues in the past, I have extra $$ deducted to cover any unexpected issues with filing. He kept "preparing" me for extra fees and taxes I needed to pay. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!! Brought in very basic 2024 paperwork and was told any capital gains over standard deduction of $29,200 would be taxable. NOT TRUE!!! Capital gains up to $94,050 are not taxed for married filing jointly(for 2024). Would've cost me thousands and thousands of dollars in unnecessary tax if I'd had H&R Block file for me.
