Filed my taxes here in 2025, was under the impression my taxes were done properly. Then discovered a year later that my state taxes were never filed. When I went back to find out what happened, I was told that I owed on my state return and I shouldn’t have to pay because I’m a military spouse. (Military spouses still have to file their state taxes and owing if applicable) I left knowing we just hired a CPA for our business, so I was just going to have her fix it for me.
