Many thanks to the ladies at H&R Block. I was in a bad situation and filing late, as I travel for work. My time window for personal things is small. I went in as a walk-in. Sylvette Silver understood my situation and took care of my taxes. She’s a true customer oriented professional with a very pleasant demeanor. My gratitude and many thanks go to her.
I had a frustrating experience with Joseph at Jackson Hewitt. I asked a simple question about whether I needed to come in to file my taxes, and he kept saying he didn’t understand me. As someone who works in customer service, I even asked if I wasn’t making sense, and then he said I was. The whole interaction felt rude and unnecessary. I was just trying to get help filing my taxes, and this wasn’t needed especially at 10am.
I would give them no stars. My cpa had a stroke and was unable to file for me. I had to use this company as a last min. solution. I dropped my taxes off on Thursday with Jennifer. She said she would have them done quickly and that I would hear back from them no later than Sat. I did not. Monday morning I call the office. Nobody had even heard of my taxes and Jennifer had called in sick. They would call me back with more info. That afternoon I still had not heard back. I called again.
