I went to get my taxes done. I had 2 W2S, a 1099 form and i also was claiming a rental property. I think it took the tax preparer 45 minutes and he charged me $470.00. I definitely felt like i was being gouged. I think i am either outgrowing H&R Block or they are outgrowing me. I will be shopping around for something more reasonable. I have gone to Block for the last few years and was charged between $100-$140.00 in the past but they charge a 100.00 or more for each additional document they do.
