My tax preparer didn’t tell me the fee up front. My return was very simple, I’m retired with little income. The charge was $405. I’ve used h&r for 4 years won’t be back. I was told it was for late filing even though I had an earlier appointment I had to cancel due to having a broken ankle.
$800 to prepare a return? Better off using turbo tax. They were nice but the pricing is ABSURD. Also, my return went from 5,000 to 700. Safe to say someone else can do way better.
As fairly new US immigrants, Nina was very helpful in making us better understand the taxation system and how to benefit from it. She was able to answer our queries and was very professional.
