My tax preparer didn’t tell me the fee up front. My return was very simple, I’m retired with little income. The charge was $405. I’ve used h&r for 4 years won’t be back. I was told it was for late filing even though I had an earlier appointment I had to cancel due to having a broken ankle.
$800 to prepare a return? Better off using turbo tax. They were nice but the pricing is ABSURD. Also, my return went from 5,000 to 700. Safe to say someone else can do way better.
