I went with my daughter to file her taxes for the first time, and it was a disaster from the very start. The documentation we needed to bring was completely unclear. After we had finished the process, they called me to say they had forgotten a document—and, on top of that, they wanted to charge me for it. I brought them the document, but then came another call saying my daughter had to return with yet another document. I demanded my money back; the refund is currently being processed. I do not recommend them.
Ok as for taxs
For the love of all that is good, do not use H&R Block. Use Taxact or TaxfreeUSA. File your taxes for less than half they charge. Keep your money in your pockets. If you're 9-5: All they're doing is moving information from your W-2 to an digital application which is beyond easy if that's all your doing. I spent over $200 this year filling with them, nearly two full days of work gone in 45 minutes to these people trying to get a tax advance loan on Emerald Card which was supposed be within a few minutes to a day. My tax professional was pleasant and efficient. Helped me get the best results w my tax return.
The receptionist was very nice and informative as soon as I walked in. Was able to get me with a tax pro that day. Gail was amazing. For first time filing I was unsure about most things, but she was extremely helpful and explained everything that needed to be done. Thank yall.
