BEWARE! The tax preparer who did my taxes did not know that Roth IRA disbursements are NOT taxable because they’ve already been taxed, or that state pension payments are NOT taxable on the state form because they’ve already been taxed. I don’t blame the tax preparer, who was a very nice person who just didn’t know what she didn’t know. I blame the management for poor training of staff.
