I just moved back to NE in November of last year from MN, so I took my taxes to an H&R Block at the beginning of February to make sure both state taxes were done correctly and also to try to save myself some time. Boy was that a mistake. Rather than "phone a friend" as I suggested multiple times to literally ANY H&R Block location in MN to find out what to do with the Certificate of Rent Paid that we get as MN renters, my "tax professional" spent a week with my taxes the first time around to figure out what to do with it. So much went wrong here, I had to explain multiple times that my address wasn’t put in correctly, they didn’t do the emerald card like I had asked instead it was direct deposited into my account. They didn’t take my discount / coupon I had even with giving it and showing and reminding them multiple times. And not to mention, they charged 300$ instead of the advertised price; for something I could’ve done myself for free. The only reason it’s not a 1 star is the guy was nice.
