I want to be clear: the individual Tax Professional I worked with was excellent. She was diligent, knowledgeable, and professional. However, H&R Block’s corporate business model is fundamentally unethical and an insult to American taxpayers. H&R Block has turned professional tax preparation into a high-pressure "upsell" scheme. Had an appt. Scheduled. The taxes were completed at same location last year and years before, before I started doing them online. There were some added income and credits etc so thought going to see a person would be best. Last year was fine, this year was insane. We had w-2, a rental income form, a large reciept for expenses on rental property.
