I've never done business with HR Block and never will. Mr Berliner left a voicemail from a private number, trying to get ahold of his client, Mr. Miller, saying he was due a hefty refund, that he had left an email for him, recommended he sign up for myhrblock, and for me to email Mr Berliner at the email he spelled out for me. I’ve used H&R Block for several years but this year I had a very bad experience at the Lake St Louis office on Ronald Reagan Drive. The first issue was my preparer did not look at all my documents and left off a W2 I had uploaded. Once I corrected that I noticed there were several hundred dollars of penalties. When I asked what it was, she said it had to do with early withdrawal from a retirement account. I told her this is incorrect and something else is wrong. This review is of my own personal opinion and experience with H&R Block at this specific location... I had attempted to use HR Block for an estate tax need and scheduled an appointment, which upon attending, I had my tax documents scanned in by the front desk receptionist, but upon meeting with the tax professional, was told that she was not the best person for these specific estate taxes and was referred to another handler that works at this location. Kathleen is great. Richard will lose documents, generate errors, will spell names wrong in submissions, and will file incorrectly.
