So we went to this H&R Block on South Broadway to do our taxes, the agent had my mom buy an H& R block prepaid credit card because she forgot her banking info. The H& R block credit card cost $42! On top of the $300 she charged $42 for the prepaid debit card And it’s no picnic to get the money off of it even when you follow the instructions. Do not go to this place. I received a letter from NYS saying I owe money for something that they filed incorrectly. I have been given the run around because they do not want to take responsibility. Tax Experts that don't know how to file taxes properly.
I'm very surprised at the service I received today. Last year was very pleasant that's why I went back this year. The man I dealt with today is the same guy who treated me well last year. Today for some reason he was sooooo tired he kept falling asleep while doing my taxes. I had to keep making noise to keep him up. Terrible Terrible. I had no idea what he was talking about. One time his head almost hit the desk. I hope nobody else will ever experience this. Very scary especially with such an important thing
First, there's a puddle of vomit right in front of the entrance door. Not entirely their fault, but still gross. The tax "pro", I think Rama Mishra, refused to work on my taxes because I was on a fellowship (taxes not withheld) for half of the previous year, and I didn't receive a W2 because I wasn't technically an employee of the university.
