Dorothy Richardson did our business and personal taxes last year (2024) We just found out that she mistakenly put an extra “0” after the value of our work truck, for a total of 160k. I don’t know how this even happens. We went to a different H&R Block location this year and thank God they noticed. We had to go through the whole process of amending our last years return, now owe about 6k in back taxes. We had the peace of mind insurance, so we’ll get reimbursed thank god. For the love of all that is good, do not use H&R Block. Use Taxact or TaxfreeUSA. File your taxes for less than half they charge. Keep your money in your pockets. If you're 9-5: All they're doing is moving information from your W-2 to an digital application which is beyond easy if that's all your doing. I spent over $200 this year filling with them, nearly two full days of work gone in 45 minutes to these people trying to get a tax advance loan on Emerald Card which was supposed be within a few minutes to a day. I sent documents, which she could not access, and followed up with a question in email, as to whether that income was added, yet when came into office to finalize documents, I noticed that income source had not been added and she was ready to finalize taxes.
